Preview: Parshat Metzora – the Torah portion which claims to be “On Lepers” – only discusses the steps taken by the leper to treat this condition. Everything else on that topic is consigned to parshat Tazria– “On Conception.” This, plus other, similar observations, lead us to wonder: What is the Torah communicating, thematically, by dividing its discussion of disease in this way?
